Sturbridge Area Tourist Association Announces the
10^th Annual Gingerbread Holiday Weekend
December 3 & 4, 2005

Sturbridge, Mass. – (September 27, 2005) The Sturbridge Area Tourist Association announces the 10^th Annual Gingerbread Holiday Weekend scheduled for December 3 - 4, 2005.  Start holiday shopping early and avoid the overcrowded malls.  Area merchants, restaurants and attractions invite shoppers to join in the festivities and visit for special events and discount offerings.  Participating businesses will each have an individually decorated gingerbread man waiting to greet you!  Stop by the Sturbridge Information Center and enter to win a basket overflowing with Sturbridge area goodies.  One winner will be chosen and notified on Monday, December 5.

Visit the Publick House Historic Inn, this years location for the Annual Gingerbread House Contest.  Gingerbread houses will be on display from November 27 – December 4.  Prizes will be awarded in six categories.  Winners are chosen by popular vote, so be sure to stop in and cast your ballot!

Then, step back in time at Old Sturbridge Village or browse our quaint shops, antique stores, and discount outlets.  Make your weekend especially memorable by build your own gingerbread house or by participating in a Teddy Bear Tea (admittance or participation fees may apply).
